Facts:
Zamorozok means 'frost' in Russian, and is written as заморозок.
Guns are invented in the story.
I will work on this project for the next eleven years.
Characters:
Kyra: A young woman with an interesting past and a serious attitude. Kyra is from the icy tundra, an inuit of types. She seems to have taken a liking to the General.
the General: a calm and collected man, he will do whatever it takes to see the conquest of his country.
David: David's job is to deliver messages to the enemy, which leads to him being tortured on a regular basis. But he doesn't really mind...at least, that's what everyone else thinks. He is also the inventor of guns.
Brass: Less serious then his comrades, Brass specializes in medicine and fighting, and refers to himself as a nurse. Brass can be insensitive at times, and somewhat of a racist.
Blini: A single mother and not a very good one at that, Blini is only twenty when the story begins. She is from the town nearby, and coincidentally knew Kyra back when she was married. Bitter and intelligent, Blini blackmails Kyra into letting her join them.
Collin: A young man with very little to offer, Collin is quiet and aloof, but likes talking to Nata.
Thomas: Blini's four year old son, he was left with the innkeeper when Blini joined the General, but is taken back three years later, when he is seven. Quiet and shy, he refers to Nata and Myriam as his 'mummies', and Blini as 'Miss'
Miriam: An old friend of Kyra back when they were servants together, she was told to come to the General when her servitude is over, and so leaves after Master Ashford dies. She's actually quite nice.
Nata: We are first introduced to Nata when she is thirteen, and wishes to join the General. He tells her she is too young, and we see her again three years later when she joins them, bringing Thomas with her. (She's the daughter of the inn keeper.)
Ian: Kyra's deeply religious ex-husband, she ran away from him after he burned her with scalding water. Ian poses a threat to the General, and must be immediately 'dealt with.'

She looks spacey. Of course, I would too, if I lived in a teapot I suppose.
